The Great Eastern Run 2010
Advance Performance, the running store for everyone, are proud to be supporting the GER 2010 in Peterborough.
The 2010 Great Eastern Run will take place on Sunday 10 October at 10.10am. The race begins at the Cathedral Square, Peterborough.
Entry
The closing date for postal entries is 26 September 2010, and for online entries you have until October 3 2010.
Entry fees for the half-marathon event are £20* unaffiliated / £18* affiliated.
There is also a fun-run, entry fee £7*
* a £2 late entry fee applies after Sept 26
Training
Advance Performance have provided a training guide to help get you ready for the race - you can view it online here. Don't forget to pop in to one of our stores in Peterborough and Cambridge for a full gait analysis and the best pair of shoes, as well as friendly advice to get you to the finish line.
There are also some training sessions at the Werrington Sports Centre over the summer, plus some special days in store at Advance Performance too - see below.
In-Store Training Days
On Saturday July 10 and Saturday July 17, Advance Performance Cambridge is holding event days to help prepare you for the Great Eastern Run! We will have representatives from Adidas in store, as well as Run for Fun who are organising a training run for beginners, leaving the store at 10am.
With just three months til the big day, it is the perfect time to ensure your training is planned to meet your needs – and check you have all the kit you need.
Everyone is welcome, so please do come along. It will cost £3 to take part in the beginners run - all participants will receive a goody bag.
