A beginners guest post from team member Kerry Surkitt of KJ Running Buddies
Our names are Kerry and Jenine and we set up KJ Running Buddies in St Neots, Cambridgeshire last year.
Our aim was to encourage others to achieve better fitness and wellbeing through running, which we achieve by running small groups, using a format based around the NHS Couch25k program and fun activities.
We also believe a major motivating factor to long term success is group motivation and friendship.
Since we started we have achieved our aim and so much more!!!!
Last September we took five of our ladies to run their first half marathon. Three of them had started running with us as complete beginners in January and the other two ladies had only been running since May. In the photo we’re pictured complete with tutus!
