Guest speakers Samantha Hale MD of Advance Performance, NatWest Regional Director Jennifer Cooper and Head for Enterprise (Business Banking) Julie Baker at the NatWest Women in Business event
NatWest specialists held a personal development and networking event for Peterborough businesswomen on 19 April 2016.
More than 40 women attended the morning event at the Sue Ryder Hospice at Thorpe Hall, which was organised to help small firms find inspiration and support.
Delegates received expert advice from Jennifer Cooper, Regional Director at NatWest (Midlands & East) and Julie Baker, Head of Enterprise, Business Banking, who offered advice on banking for small businesses.
Other guest speakers included Samantha Hale, founder and Managing Director of Advance Performance who spoke about her career in retail.
The event raised £520 for Thorpe Hall Hospice, from donations, a home-made cake sale and a raffle, which will help the staff to support patients suffering from cancer, heart failure and lung disease.
Heidi Kerr, Women in Business specialist at NatWest, who organised the event, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to our expert speakers and the businesswomen who attended the event. As well as being practical and motivating, it was heartening to see the support that businesswomen offer to each other and their support for the hospice.”
As a result our MD Samantha Hale has been nominated for the 2016 NatWest everywoman Awards, we’ll keep you posted on how that goes on our Business Awards page
